وجود

أنا دائما أقارن بين أهمية الوجود والعمل. هل الفعل أهم من الوجود؟ هل أنا لا أستحق شيئًا، إذا لم أفعل شيئًا، فإنني أفعل بمعنى أن ما يعتقد الناس أنني أفعله هو الذهاب إلى مكان العمل، كما هو الحال في وظيفة عادية.

 موجود فقط لا يكفي. يتطلب الأمر الكثير حتى تبقى موجودًا. مقدار التنفس، وعدد المرات التي نحرك فيها أنفسنا، والأشياء من حولنا. الأكل، الغسل، ارتداء الملابس، التحدث، التوجيه، إصلاح الملابس الممزقة، تنظيف البقع الصعبة، ما هو كل هذا إن لم يكن عملاً. 

أتمنى لو كان هناك ثمن مرتبط بكل هذه الأعمال المنزلية، والتي يتم تجاهلها بسهولة، لأننا نقدر الأشياء التي تكلفنا المال أكثر، وليس الأشياء التي نقوم بها بدافع الحب أو الحياة بدلاً من ذلك...

Existence

I always compare the importance of being and doing. Is doing more important than being? Am I worth nothing, if I do nothing, doing in the sense what people think doing is, like on a regular job, going to a place of work. 

Is just existing not enough. It takes so much to just exist. The amount of breathing, the number of times we move ourselves, and the things around. Eating, washing, getting dressed, talking, mentoring, mending torn clothes, cleaning difficult stains, what is it all if not work. 

I wish there was a price tag attached to each if these chores, which gets ignored so easily, for we value more the things which cost us money, and not the things done out of love or life rather…
